To the best of our knowledge, the following account of our lodging is accurate. There are a few missing nights because we were not always in the mood to remember where it was we slept and we didn’t think to track this until about mid-trip. We camped very frequently to keep expenses down, and we stayed with friends and family as much as possible. Some of these friends are featured on the sponsors page. The “Driving” entry on August 11 is due to a scheduling choice we made that required us to leave after a Friday night game from Arlington, Texas to make a Sunday afternoon game in Anaheim, California. The drive was very long, and the only time we stopped was to get gas and food. For various reason, on 16 nights we stayed at road motels. Mostly because we were often accompanied by friends who were not fully prepared to camp. We used the schedule to our advantage at the beginning and end of the road trip. Since Mike and Tim both were living s short drive to the bay area where the Giants and Athletics played, we were able to stay at our respective homes whiles testing systems and making adjustments in the van. And since both Mike and Tim are from the Los Angeles area, we set up a home base to complete the last 4 games.
