Game 27 | Yankees, 4 — Angels, 1 | August 13
Ballpark Summary
Edison Field is located in Orange County, south of Los Angeles.
The departure of the Los Angeles Rams allowed new ownership, Disney,
to add a few frills to the baseball-only stadium, including something
resembling Splash Mountain II in CF.
Ballpark Perks
Edison Field was standard in most respects. The playing field
was well-maintained. There was a bit of a tailgate barbeque scene
in the parking lot, but most fans were content to park and go
straight in. And unlike some other ballparks in the Los Angeles
area, we could play catch in the parking lot without being harassed
by security.
Ballpark Downers
The walkways were very narrow. The food
and beer lines were crammed into this area, creating quite a mess
for pedestrians and beer-seekers alike. |
