Game 07 | Red Sox, 2 — White Sox, 8 | July 2
Ballpark Summary
The new Comiskey Park is located on the south side of downtown
Chicago. Opened in 1991, the ballpark was constructed in the first
wave of the “new ballpark” era. White Sox fans traditionally
come from south Chicago, and were generally a mild-mannered crowd.
The White Sox won the game in league-leading fashion, with Magglio
Ordonez (2 HR) and Frank Thomas (1 HR) laying the hurt on the BoSox
pitching staff.

Ballpark Perks
Comiskey had good Bratwurst.

Ballpark Downers
Although our view of the outfield scoreboard was good, there were
old, low income high-rises peering over the RF and LF bleachers. Rooting
for the home team as always, we often found ourselves the only ones
standing and cheering when the ChiSox scored. This lackluster crowd
and personality-less stadium combined for a general feeling of apathy.
