The people we met We kept in touch with our friends and family mostly through email and people followed our progress through our posts. Many reached out to meet us along the way. This sometimes caused uncheduled detours but also a lot of fun. With each visit came new energy in the van. We also met a lot of people we did not know. This gallery highlights those who met us on the journey. |

The Gantners looked after us in Utah, right in the middle of one our longest stretches, the drive from Seattle to Denver. 
Bill popped up in the van in Kansas City after travelling from St. Louis and followed the tour from there to see the White Sox, Cubs, Brewers and Cardinals.

Matt Malm saw our shirts at the game in Montreal and said hello. His mission was to see a a sporting event every day for a year. How did both of our adventures cross paths at the same game and the same seating area? 
Felice met us in Montreal and racked up games on the Northeast quadrant of the tour. 
Mike made friends with these guys, when we took a short detour to Canton, Ohio. 
In another serendipitous encounter, we met Pete and Andy in the parking lot at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. They were also seeing a game in every stadium over the same season, taking a route similar to ours but in an opposite direction. Somehow we both met about half way. Unreal.

Taryn let us crash in DC and gave us a whirlwhind tour after the Baltimore game. 
Dave joined us on the road in Baltimore and brought his A game. He stayed with us the rest of the way and became an MVP of the road team. 
Elizabeth joined us for the game at Fenway Park. 
Gaby flew across the Atlantic to see both NY games.
