Game 03 | Orioles, 4 — Mariners, 11 | June 22
Ballpark Summary
“The raw structure
of the retractable roof, the rail lines running underneath, and
the surrounding industrial area placed the ballpark in perfect synthesis
with its environment. (Observational quote from Mike while driving)
Seattle has an absolutely beautiful ballpark that is complemented
with a retractable roof. The Mariners won the game which brought
our home team record to 3-0. Tickets were slightly expensive for
bleacher seats, but we still had a decent view of the game.
Ballpark Perks
Right next to Safeco Field is the Pyramid
Brewery. The Reuben sandwich and the Draught Ale (on nitrogen) was
the perfect way to kill an hour before game time. The parking lot
was clean enough to walk on barefoot and provided a spectacular
view of the ballpark and the city. Inside the ballpark, the walls
were decorated with baseball art that provided plenty of things
to look at while waiting in line for peanuts. Nice scoreboards,
and field-level seats were actually on the field.

Ballpark Downers
Expensive parking, expensive tickets, expensive peanuts and really
boring fans.
